Before you do anything else: protect your funds

Crypto is the one course on this site where beginners can lose money to a scam before they ever place a trade — not just to a bad trade. Read Module 6 (Wallets & Custody) before you use any wallet, and Module 52 (Scams & Fraud) before you click any link promising guaranteed returns. Never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone, any website, or any "support" contact — no legitimate service will ever ask for it.

The Crypto Learning Path

The full curriculum is organized into eight progressive levels — start at Level 1 regardless of experience, since even experienced traders benefit from a structured refresher on market structure and risk management. A handful of modules (scams, security, regulation, case studies, mistakes, and the research framework) are cross-cutting and appear in the curriculum below rather than inside one level.

Every module below will link to a dedicated lesson page as it's published. Modules marked Core Module get extra emphasis in the course. Module 55 is marked Coming Soon since it's a planned toolkit; Module 56 is marked Future Initiative since it requires live market-data feeds and is a larger undertaking than a simple calculator. What is a crypto wallet?
Software or hardware that stores the keys controlling your crypto holdings — the wallet itself doesn't hold coins so much as prove and exercise your ownership of them on-chain — see Module 6.
What is a private key?
The cryptographic secret that proves ownership of a wallet's funds and authorizes transactions — anyone with your private key has full control of your funds, which is why it must never be shared (Module 6).
What is a seed phrase?
A sequence of words (typically 12 or 24) that can regenerate your wallet's private keys — it must be written down offline and never shared, entered into a website, or photographed, since anyone who has it has full access to your funds (Module 6).

Trading & Markets

What is spot trading?
Buying or selling a cryptocurrency for immediate ownership and settlement, as opposed to trading a derivative contract based on its price — see Module 7.
What are crypto futures?
Standardized contracts to buy or sell a cryptocurrency at a set price on a future date (or, for perpetuals, with no expiry at all) — see Module 8.
What are perpetual futures?
A crypto futures contract with no expiration date, kept tethered to the spot price through periodic funding payments between long and short traders rather than through a settlement date — see Module 8.
What is funding rate?
A periodic payment exchanged between long and short holders of a perpetual futures contract, used to keep its price aligned with the underlying spot price — see Module 20 for how to read it.
What is open interest?
The total number of outstanding derivatives contracts (futures or options) that haven't yet been closed or settled — a measure of how much capital is committed to open positions, covered in Module 19.
What is liquidation?
The forced closure of a leveraged position when losses erode the trader's margin below the exchange's required maintenance level — see Module 21 for liquidation mechanics and cascades.
What is leverage?
Borrowed exposure that lets a trader control a larger position than their actual capital, amplifying both gains and losses — see Module 35 on why leverage management and risk management are not the same thing.
What is a DEX?
A decentralized exchange — a platform that lets users trade directly from their own wallets via smart contracts, without a central custodian holding their funds — see Module 5.
What is a CEX?
A centralized exchange — a platform operated by a company that custodies user funds and matches orders through its own order book, similar in structure to a traditional brokerage — see Module 5.
What is DeFi?
Decentralized Finance — financial applications (trading, lending, borrowing, yield) built on smart contracts rather than traditional intermediaries — see Module 42 for DeFi trading and its risks.
What is crypto arbitrage?
Profiting from a temporary price difference for the same asset across markets — for example, buying on one exchange and selling on another, or exploiting spot-futures price gaps — see Module 43.
What is crypto staking?
Locking up a proof-of-stake cryptocurrency to help secure the network, in exchange for staking rewards — see Module 2 for the mechanics and Module 24 for how staking rewards factor into tokenomics.

Market Metrics

What is Bitcoin dominance?
Bitcoin's share of the total cryptocurrency market capitalization — a rising figure generally signals capital concentrating in Bitcoin over altcoins, and a falling figure often accompanies "altcoin season" (Module 26, Module 28).
What is market cap?
A token's price multiplied by its circulating supply — a headline size metric, though it should be read alongside FDV and liquidity rather than in isolation (Module 4, Module 24).
What is FDV?
Fully Diluted Valuation — a token's price multiplied by its maximum possible supply (not just what's currently circulating), which can reveal significant future dilution that market cap alone doesn't show (Module 24).
What is tokenomics?
The design of a token's supply, distribution, emissions, unlocks and incentives — understanding tokenomics helps explain future sell pressure and long-term value dynamics that price action alone won't show (Module 24).
What is on-chain analysis?
Studying blockchain data directly — wallet flows, exchange balances, holder behavior and network activity — to gauge market conditions independent of price charts (Module 25).
What is MVRV?
Market Value to Realized Value — a ratio comparing a coin's current market cap to the aggregate cost basis of all coins on-chain, often used as a cycle-positioning indicator rather than a precise timing signal (Module 25).
What is SOPR?
Spent Output Profit Ratio — an on-chain metric showing whether coins moving on-chain are being sold at an average profit or loss, used to gauge holder behavior around market turning points (Module 25).

Legal & Risk

Is crypto trading legal in India?
Yes — crypto trading is legal in India and is subject to taxation and reporting requirements, though it is not treated as legal tender and the regulatory framework continues to evolve. See Module 54, and always confirm current rules against official sources since this area changes.
How does crypto taxation work in India?
Crypto/VDA transactions in India are subject to specific tax treatment (including a flat tax rate on gains and TDS on certain transactions) as set out in current tax law — see Module 54 for an overview, and consult a qualified tax professional and official sources for your specific situation, since rules and rates can change.
What are the risks of crypto trading?
Extreme volatility, leverage and liquidation risk, exchange and counterparty risk, smart-contract risk, regulatory risk, cybersecurity risk, and outright scams and fraud — Module 1 introduces these and Modules 34, 52 and 53 cover risk management, scam awareness and security in depth.
Can crypto trading guarantee returns?
No. No trading strategy, indicator, on-chain metric, or educational content on this site can guarantee returns — crypto markets are volatile and unpredictable, and anyone claiming guaranteed or fixed returns from crypto trading or investing is describing a scam, not a legitimate opportunity. See Module 52 for how these schemes typically present themselves.

Regulatory, Legal & Investor Protection
